Cloak & Butter Knife ("we", "us") is run by Jamie Walsh, registered as a food business with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you book an event, why, and what rights you have over it.
When you book a seat, we collect your name, contact details, and payment confirmation via our ticketing provider [name once chosen — e.g. Ticket Tailor]. Separately, we ask every guest — including everyone in a group booking — to declare any food allergies (a legal requirement) and, if you choose, your food preferences (the "Palate Matrix"), so we can plan your meal properly.
Booking and contact details are used to manage your reservation and communicate with you about the event. Allergen declarations are used solely to plan safe, suitable food for you on the night. Palate Matrix preferences, if you provide them, are used to tailor future menus if you book again — this is optional and separate from the legal allergen declaration.
Booking and allergen records are kept for [X months/years — confirm retention period] after the event, in line with food safety record-keeping practice. Palate Matrix data is kept only if you've asked to be remembered for future events, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
If you book for a group, whoever books can see whether each guest has completed their allergy form, but not the content of anyone else's declaration. Allergen and dietary information is only used by the kitchen for meal planning.
